Coming from a larger family my parents aren’t able to help pay for my continuing education needed to obtain a degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Because of my situation it is essential to earn scholarships to help with the cost of college. The help of a scholarship would greatly benefit me by taking some of the burden of paying for college off my shoulders. My goals for my education are high and I set myself to a standard to do my best and never less. I plan to work hard to receive a four year bachelors degree in Nursing. This would allow me to begin my career immediately upon graduating. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree I plan to start working at a hospital as a nurse to be able to complete my necessary time of gaining work experience before I return to school. The next step of school in my life would be to enroll in a Nurse Practitioner’s program where I will earn my NP degree. Becoming a nurse practitioner will allow me to use my abilities to help others to the greatest amount possible. I have high hopes and high standards set for my future so that I am able to live a successful life helping others. This scholarship money would put towards a worthwhile cause. I am a dedicated student that has high hopes for my future.
